Final post

1.  After rating the course, I would rate my knowledge of Web 2.0 as a 7.

2.  Yes, I learnt about a lot of different applications that I didn't even know existed before the course.

3.  The most challenging part of the course was the first couple of assignments.  After I had accessed sites more than once, I got the hang of it and found the later assignments much easier.

4.   I grew up using the classroom way of learning, and would still find that easier.  The face-to-face interaction work sbetter for me, but if I started out with online learning, that would work for me too.  Also I think I would find it hard to learn about a subject that I knew nothing about online - if you have some basic background knowledge, then it is a good way of building on that knowledge.

5.  I would certainly recommend this to a friend.   Thank you for putting the course on.

Library Thing

A great tool and one that I would definitely use again.  I can never remember titles/authors that I have read and enjoyed, always looking for new reading ideas and interested in hearing what other people think of these books, and I can do all of these things in one place!  Perfect.

Google Reader

Another new website to try out!

Will have to make my answers short as my computer seems to be playing up.

Feeds are - Globe & Mail
                    Orbitz Travel
                    Bestsellers - New York Times

Yes, I thought it was easy to use with good instructions and video.

I would use this for updates to Bestseller lists - something I mean to keep up-to-date with but never do.   This would jog my memory.  Also for any particular news items that you are following.

All I can manage for now before my computer gives up completely.

PB Wiki

I'll be bringing cupcakes made by my own fair hand and decorated by my two young kitchen helpers.

Yes, PB Wiki seems easy to use but I would need to take a little more time to explore all the possibilities.

I would consider using in in the future for such events as large pot-luck parties - better than setting up spreadsheets as has been done in the past.  It's always good to learn easier methods!  I  will just have to get all my other friends and relations to sign up for the Betty Blogger course so that they can do these things too!

Google docs

Cool site!  Hope you all enjoy my recipe!  Good way of sharing stuff like recipes, rather than writing out all those cards, then filing them somewhere, never to be found again.

Also good to be able to retrieve and edit docs from any computer, anywhere.

Picasa Web Albums

No tags attached to photo.  I would have added Antarctica, Penguins, Icebergs.

Neat way to share photos with family and friends - and also to enjoy other people's photos, especially if there are tags for improved searching.

Yes, I would continue to use this application as we have a new grandson, and family in the UK who have yet to meet him.   It's a way of reaching many people easily.
